I needed a quick fix. I was meeting my in laws for the first time after 2 years of being married to my husband. I was really concerned about the way I let myself go after I got married and put on some "comfort" weight.I wanted to look the way I used to look in my wedding pictures. I had 6 weeks to go and 5 kgs to lose. Now I consider myself as a bit of a health fanatic when it comes to losing wieght. I didn't want to do some crazy fad diet and lose weight too quickly and get unhealthy in the process. I wanted to do it right.
Enter Marcus...Marcus trains a few of my collegues and I was very impressed by the way he trained them. I personally never liked fitness trainers because I always thought, they are for people who lacked self motivation.With Marcus I stand corrected. He is something else.
He told me straight up that it was only possible if I agreed to be committed and dedicated and that he would help me if I did it right. We started training twice a week, it was a combination of circuit training and kickboxing. The training was intense, demanding and very challenging but that was not all. Marcus wrote a diet plan for me very specific to my pallate.Did I mention I am a fanatic? He checked on me frequently, made sure I stayed away from carbs and went on a lean meat diet with lots of veges and fruits.
The results were spectacular. It was very hard work but absolutely worth every "inch" of it. I did not lose the desired weight but I lost twice the amount of body fat than I expected which was even better. I had more muscles, I was a lot more fit and toned. Marcus was brilliant, he constantly reminded me, " you want results..you got to put in the effort" I secretly hated him but I couldn't have achieved the result without Marcus. Thanks buddy...you rock!!

"Marcus has been training me 3 days a week for 8 months now. He comes to my home which happens to be a farm in East Auckland. Wow what a great 8
months they have been, and the best investment I have ever made. I decided it was time to invest in myself.
When I first employed Marcus I wanted to lose weight as every women does, but I am a very bad asthmatic and would spend a lot of time in hospital during the course of a year. I have had many close calls and my children have had to grow up watching the paramedics come to mums bedroom and drag her out on a stretcher. I decided something had to change if I wanted to be there for my children. I knew I had to get stronger in order to survive. I was so scared of exercise as I didn’t want to bring on an asthma attack. It had been many years since I had exercised in any way, so I was not looking forward to what was ahead of me.
Then along came Marcus, and from that day my life has changed. I haven’t been in hospital this year which is amazing for me. I work really hard and am stronger than ever. Marcus has taken the time to understand my asthma and also my fears and has encouraged me and inspired me to keep trying new things. I have not spent 10 mins in a gym while training with Marcus, all training is done on the farm and in such a fun way it is so easy to forget that you are actually working every muscle in your body while enjoying a great cardio work out. I do my lunges with a big white chicken named Henrietta tucked under one arm and she loves it to.
I have had many personal achievements along the way, but the ones I can share with my children are by far the best. I can now play a game of rugby with them, and chase them through the paddocks, just the other day I climbed a tree with my children which I have never been able to do. For the first time I seen pride in there eyes instead of fear.
A friend asked me the other day “How could I afford to have a personal trainer 3 days a week”? My answer to that is simple….. I can’t afford not to have Marcus!

Loosing 18kgs over 3 months was the best thing that has ever happend to me, something in my mind clicked after going through photos of my birthday party and i thought ive got to make the change and do something about the way i am and feel.
Thats when i thought why not utilise the tools i have and try out my brothers at home personal training - I used to hear the word exercise and id shudder but with Marcus coming to my house and me not having to bare my body in a gym enviroment - I have never felt so pushed and motivated to eat healthy and exercise.

I first started training with Marcus over 2 years ago. At this point I weighed less than 70kg and had very little functional strength. My job involves me looking good and I have a very limited time to fit exercise into my week. I workout with Marcus twice a week and love how the workout combines cardio and resistance training into one session.
The workouts have given me amazing results that use to require me training 4-5 days a week in the gym (but that didn’t last long). It is very fast and effective, which works for my busy schedule.
By two weeks in, I could already see results in my abs, butt and thighs which were my initial goals. We usually train in the park which is always fun and doesn’t even feel like exercise until the next day when I’m feeling it walking up the stairs haha!
