There are many different body types, but three main categories. Endomorphs, which are known as being curvy. Mesomorphs, which are known as having athletic physiques. And lastly Ectomorphs, which are know as the skinny ones. Here are the key characteristics to each category. Learn which body type you are and embrace it:
Endomorphs:
- Round, curvy body
- Pear-shaped figure
- Slow metabolic rate
- Had trouble keeping weight off
- Can gain muscle easily but struggles to get lean
Mesomorphs:
- Naturally lean
- Naturally strong
- Broad shoulders
- Responds to exercise
- Efficient metabolism
Ectomorphs:
- Naturally skinny
- Has little muscle
- Has difficulty gaining weight
- Petite
- Low body fat
- Up-down figure, not very curvy
Once you have determined which body type you are, learn to love it. Because the truth is you can’t change it. An Ectomorph can never look like an Endomorph and an Endomorph can never look like a Mesomorph. The beauty however, is that each body type can be made stunning through hard work and determination. Whether you are beautifully curvy like Shakira, or stunningly petite like Miranda Kerr, you can always make the most of your own body type. You cannot change your genetics so it is better to embrace what you have than to try and change it into something it cannot be.
Your body type is just your framework. You can still change what is inside like your weight, body fate percentage or muscle mass. You can’t change your framework but you can change your mind-set. Love the body you were given and work with what you have to create what you are happy with. The only reason you wouldn’t be happy, is because of you alone. So embrace what you have because it cannot be changed.
