“Marcus has been training me 3 days a week for 8 months now.  He comes to my home which happens to be a farm in East Auckland.  Wow what a great 8 months they have been, and the best investment I have ever made.  I decided it was time to invest in myself.

When I first employed Marcus I wanted to lose weight as every women does, but I am a very bad asthmatic and would spend a lot of time in hospital during the course of a year.  I have had many close calls and my children have had to grow up watching the paramedics come to mums bedroom and drag her out on a stretcher.  I decided something had to change if I wanted to be there for my children.  I knew I had to get stronger in order to survive.  I was so scared of exercise as I didn’t want to bring on an asthma attack.  It had been many years since I had exercised in any way, so I was not looking forward to what was ahead of me.

Then along came Marcus, and from that day my life has changed.  I haven’t been in hospital this year which is amazing for me.  I work really hard and am stronger than ever.  Marcus has taken the time to understand my asthma and also my fears and has encouraged me and inspired me to keep trying new things.

I have not spent 10 mins in a gym while training with Marcus, all training is done on the farm and in such a fun way it is so easy to forget that you are actually working every muscle in your body while enjoying a great cardio work out.  I do my lunges with a big white chicken named Henrietta tucked under one arm and she loves it to.

I have had many personal achievements along the way, but the ones I can share with my children are by far the best.

I can now play a game of rugby with them, and chase them through the paddocks, just the other day I climbed a tree with my children which I have never been able to do.

For the first time I seen pride in there eyes instead of fear.

A friend asked me the other day “How could I afford to have a personal trainer 3 days a week”?  My answer to that is simple….. I can’t afford not to have Marcus!

Thank you Marcus for your continued support and for making me smile and reminding me what it’s like to breath again!!!!
