5 Reasons Why Your Weight Loss Stopped?

This is a question I get asked all the time.

Here is the quick break down –

1. Your body is lighter now so you don’t use as many calories daily as you used to when you where heavier

Think about it like this. Imagine your old over weight body was a car pulling around a fully loaded trailer. Now think about your new body as a car without the trailer or at least a lighter load.

Which car uses more petrol ? Simple Right ? Yes, the car with the lighter load uses less gas.

This is exactly like your your body and how your body uses energy.

The FIX is to re evaluate your calorie intake and your energy expenditure.

You need to increase your exercise or decrease your calories..

2. The calorie creep

You may not have noticed but you may be eating more calories then you originally were which got you to your new weight. Once again the FIX is to journal your food and see where thoughs cheeky calories are getting into your daily nutrition. You may also want to look at these yummy health dessert idea’s 

3. Your workouts haven’t progressed

Are you still doing the same old workout you where doing when you started on your weight loss campaign?

It’s time for a shake up. You need to step up to a more advance exercise plan where you can measure your progression and ensure you a progressively overloading your body (shocking it) enough to force it increase lean tissue or stimulate your metabolism.

4. Micro nutrients have slipped back into your nutrition which in turn is increasing your water retention

Sodium / salt, Carby foods, sugar have crept back into your food which is making you hold water. Also you may not be drinking enough water. This also creates water retention.

5. Hormonal Issues
